This two-day All-Chiefs Meeting will bring First Nations leaders from across B.C. together to support the exercise of First Nations jurisdiction over the care of their children and families. The meeting will provide an opportunity to share lessons learned that will help inform Canada’s five-year review of An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Metis children, youth and families. It will also provide a space to strengthen collective approaches and discuss other priorities that support the well-being and self-determination of First Nations children, families, and communities across B.C.

WHO:                    One Chief and one technician per First Nation in B.C. may attend in person. Those who do not meet the in-person criteria for this event will have the option to attend virtually.

YOUTH:                There are limited seats available for Nations who would like to bring a youth representative to participate in the gathering. Travel and hotel notes below apply to youth.

One (1) BC Chief and one (1) Technician per First Nation will be eligible to have their travel costs covered. Participants are asked to make their own travel arrangements and hotel reservations using one of the designated booking links below. Participants should retain all eligible travel and hotel receipts for reimbursement.
